As promised by the power company, the lights were back on Thursday morning after Wednesday’s electrical mishap. Day One of the 37th Annual Heritage Place Yearling Sale began promptly at 10:00 a.m. with auctioneers Danny Green and Randy Woodward selling hip numbers 1 through 295. Attendance was high with a full parking lot for the event. Buyers were at the sale barn early, looking for their next purchase and consignors prepped their yearlings to bring in the most money possible.

On the first day the Heritage Place Yearling Sale's top five sellers brought in $739,000 - 3 being colts and 2 fillies.
