All American Weekend - Day 5 - Thursday, Evening
Hundreds lined the sale barn area at Ruidoso Downs Thursday evening at 5 p.m. to preview Lazy E's 125 Yearlings for the 2015 Sale. Butch Wise emceed the event while Sarah Gammill of Lazy E assisted. Guests were provided chilled beverages and a ringside view of the sale yearlings.
Peggy & John Trujillo of Famous Lane Farm, & their brother and sister-in-law Cindy & Steve Trujillo were among those who attended the preview. Peggy and John Trujillo are the owners of Rogue Cartel #59 who is Selling Friday. They have been coming to the Ruidoso Sale for many years. Peggy said, "I enjoy going to the Lazy E preview. Sometimes we're looking to buy, sometimes we are selling something. We love to see the preview of their horses. They always have a nice selection."
Celina Molina was in attendance to see her colt and said, "I have always had my yearlings with Lazy E! I just love them! I have hip #288, a colt I am selling on Saturday." The preview lasted into the evening with onlookers browsing through the barn for one last look. The Sale starts Friday!
While the preview was happening, around the corner was the All American Qualifiers dinner. The event began with cocktail hour in the Ruidoso Downs Race Horse Hall of Fame at 6:30 Thursday evening. A lavish dinner buffet was served upstairs in the All American Turf Club. Music was provided by Jack Welch and a video presentation of the All American Futurity and Derby qualifiers was screened after dinner.
