Remington Park Reschedules Cancelled Races
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—APRIL 14, 2019—Remington Park will race Monday, April 29, as a makeup day for the Saturday night card that was canceled due to weather-related safety issues; first post time will be 11:30 a.m.
After visiting with the Oklahoma Quarter Horse Racing Association regarding last night's cancellation, we've determined the best option for those horses that couldn't compete last night would be to card a special nine-race program for Monday, April 29," said Matt Vance, Remington Park Vice President of Racing Operations.
"Due to several variables regarding eligibility and hair testing it will be many of those horses' only chance to receive an opportunity to compete before the Heritage Place trials May 10-12."
Vance reiterated that Saturday's cancellation at Remington Park was a result of doing what was in the best interest of the horses' and riders' safety.
Racing resumes next week Thursday through Saturday, April 18-20 with the first race nightly at 6pm. The $895,210 Remington Park Futurity(RG1) will headline an evening of eight stakes races on Saturday.
