The weather could not have been more perfect for the first night of the 2022 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale. The Speedhorse booth offered guests their first look at the 2022 September issue of Speedhorse Magazine. There was a large crowd and great deal of excitement as anticipation for the weekend's big races was building.

175 yearlings went through the sale ring, and 152 of them were sold for a total of $8,303,000 and an average of $58,770.

The first night of the 2022 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale saw a repurchase rate that was the same as it was in 2021 at 13.1%. The 2022 median was $45,000, up $5,000 (12.5%) from 2021.

99 yearlings sold for under $50,000.

58 yearlings sold for $50,000-$99,000.

9 yearlings sold for $100,000-$149,000.

4 yearlings sold for $150,000-$199,000.

4 yearlings sold for $200,000-$249,000.

The High-Seller sold for $335,000.

The high seller for the night was SC Time To Run, a colt by Apollitical Jess, out of Spit Curl Diva. He was consigned by Lazy E Ranch, LLC, Agent for Reliance Ranches, LLC and purchased by Dunn Ranch for $335,000.
