Xango Piccolo Depisa, affectionately known as “Piccolo” or “Pickle,” is a remarkable 2016 bay stallion from a lineage of runners. Bred and owned by Ruth Garrett in Harlingen, Texas, he is by the graded stakes winner Paintyourownwagon and out of Special Class Leader, a winner on the track.
Despite his racing heritage, Pickle only made one race start before transitioning to a versatile career. The Lee family in McAllen, Texas, has since taken him under their wing.
Charylet Lee, who has experience with second-career racehorses, emphasizes the importance of creating a well-rounded horse. Together, they’ve explored a variety of activities, including working cattle, roping, and even trick riding.
Pickle is known for his kind temperament and adaptability, making him an excellent family horse.

He began his career in Texas but spent most of his 25-race career in Alberta, where he became a stakes winner in the Evergreen Park Distance Challenge and set a new track record at Century Mile, defeating reigning Canadian Champion Bringonthewave.
